Terms of Use
Effective October 21, 2026
- LiveLocks is analytics and information. It isn’t financial, investment or betting advice, and it doesn’t place orders or wagers.
- LockLine prices are model estimates. Edges can be wrong, and there are no guarantees.
- You must be 18 or older.
- Pro renews automatically until you cancel in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
- Don’t scrape, copy or resell our prices and edges.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Kevin Abdelnour (“we”, “us”) for the LiveLocks iPhone app, LiveLocks Pro, and the livelocksapp.com website (together, “LiveLocks”). By downloading or using LiveLocks, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use LiveLocks.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, and of legal age to form a binding contract where you live, to use LiveLocks. You may not use LiveLocks where doing so would be against the law. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, including any laws about prediction markets, event contracts or gambling in your location.
2. What LiveLocks is, and isn’t
LiveLocks is an analytics app. It shows publicly available prediction-market prices for sporting events next to prices from our own model, LockLine AI, and highlights the difference (an “edge”).
LiveLocks is not an exchange, broker, futures commission merchant, sportsbook, gambling operator, or investment or financial adviser. It doesn’t accept, place, route or link to orders, trades or wagers; it doesn’t hold funds; and it has no connection to any account you may have with any market. We aren’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any league, team, players association or prediction market. Team names are used for identification only.
3. Not advice, no guarantees
Everything in LiveLocks, including LockLine prices, edges, Top Edges, projections and the track record, is general information produced by statistical models from third-party data. It is not financial, investment, trading, legal, tax or betting advice, and it isn’t a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any contract or to take part in any market.
- LockLine prices are estimates. They can be wrong, late or based on incomplete or incorrect data.
- An edge describes a difference between two prices at a moment in time. It doesn’t mean an outcome is likely, and it doesn’t predict a profit.
- Past results, including our logged track record, don’t predict future results.
- Market prices and game data can be delayed, interrupted or inaccurate, and markets can move before you see an update.
Any decision you make, on any platform, is yours alone, and so are its results. If you choose to take part in any market, only risk what you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem for you or someone you know, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
4. Plans
The Free plan shows your free edge plus one upcoming game. LiveLocks Pro shows every edge, including Top Edges, in every game, plus every player prop. The number of edges shown depends on market conditions: on some days there may be few edges, no Top Edges, or none at all. We may change which features belong to each plan; if a change materially reduces what Pro includes, we’ll tell you in the app before it applies to your next renewal.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Through Apple. LiveLocks Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual, sold through the App Store. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or in the App Store app). Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel your subscription.
- Free trials and offers. If we offer a free trial or introductory price, it will be described in the app. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Price changes. If we change the price, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
- Refunds. Apple handles all billing and refunds under its own terms. We can’t issue refunds or see your payment details. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restoring. Use “Restore purchases” in the app to restore Pro on a new or reinstalled device signed in to the same Apple ID.
Your purchase is also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
6. Your licence to use LiveLocks
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use LiveLocks for your own non-commercial use, on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by these Terms and Apple’s Usage Rules.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
- scrape, crawl, harvest or access LiveLocks or our servers with bots, scripts or other automated means, or call our API from anything other than the official app;
- copy, publish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, broadcast or share LockLine prices, edges, Top Edges, projections, the track record or other LiveLocks data, in bulk or as a feed, alert, channel, group or service (sharing an occasional screenshot for personal, non-commercial discussion is fine);
- use LiveLocks data to build, train, test or improve a competing product, model, dataset or machine-learning system;
- get around the Free plan or the paywall, or share, sell or reuse anyone’s subscription or app user ID;
- decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the app, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
- interfere with, overload, probe or disrupt LiveLocks or its security; or
- use LiveLocks to break any law or anyone else’s rights.
8. Our intellectual property
LiveLocks, including the app, LockLine AI and its prices and outputs, the design, text, graphics, generated team art, and the selection and arrangement of data, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. LiveLocks™ and LockLine™ are our trademarks. You may not use them without our written permission. Other names and marks belong to their owners and appear only to identify teams and events. These Terms don’t give you any rights except the licence in section 6.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Third-party data and services
LiveLocks uses public prediction-market prices and game data from third-party sources, and relies on Apple and RevenueCat for purchases. We don’t control these sources, aren’t responsible for their accuracy or availability, and may add, change or remove them at any time. Your use of Apple’s services is governed by Apple’s terms.
10. Changes and availability
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue any part of LiveLocks at any time, including sports, markets, features and data sources. We don’t promise that LiveLocks will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. If we permanently shut down Pro, we’ll tell you in the app and stop renewals.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using LiveLocks at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. Sections 3, 7, 8 and 12 to 16 survive.
12. Disclaimers
LiveLocks is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and that LiveLocks will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, funds, data or goodwill, or any trading, wagering or investment losses, arising from or related to LiveLocks or these Terms, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims related to LiveLocks is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for LiveLocks Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.
Some places don’t allow certain disclaimers or limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract.
14. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of LiveLocks.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using LiveLocks after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, stop using LiveLocks and cancel your subscription.
17. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded LiveLocks from Apple’s App Store:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for LiveLocks and its content.
- Your licence is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where Apple allows it.
- We are solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses from any failure to meet a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent these Terms don’t disclaim them.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to us at the contact details below.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms (for example, your wireless data agreement) when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
18. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about LiveLocks. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a successor of LiveLocks.
